09/11/01 A Long Road Toward Recovery by Nicole B.Simpson

On 9/11/2001, the United States was faced with the great tragedy of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Many people were directly exposed to this massive traumatic event.

World Trade Center survivor Nicole B. Simpson has faced many mental, spiritual, emotional and financial struggles over the years from the ill- fated day. She documents in her book, 9/11/01, A Long Road Toward Recovery, how almost ten years since the ill-fated day, she as well as other survivors, still feel the after effects of the tragedy and its unknown enduring toll on their lives.  What are the survivors’ struggles and the effects this tragedy had on their family life, finances, career life and their relationship with God?

Simpson in 9/11/01, A Long Road Toward Recovery shares how she sought out other survivors who were directly affected by the tragedy to allow them to voice the journey they traveled to find peace, balance, and  healing , if any of these qualities at all. She shares her story, along with the stories of other survivors, with frankness, transparency and sincerity to inform the majority of citizens, that survivors have a unique struggle that has been widely overlooked. Survivors have had to overcome pain and guilt to find a “new normal” as Simpson terms it.

Recognizing the call of ministry on her life, even Simpson asked the question “Where was God?” Yet, she recognizes that He was there all the time. This book not only shares eye-opening information in an easy to read personal and authentic manner, but the book offers hope to survivors. She encourages survivors to embrace the destiny and purpose awaiting for them to fulfill. Simpson’s account speaks volumes as to how we are more than conquerors over adversity and obstacles with faith in God. Nicole is no longer a victim, but serves as a resource for people who have experienced trauma and catastrophic events in their lives.

About the Book
After 800 years of oppression, the Uché abandon all hope of liberation – until a boy with unbreakable bones emerges from the wilderness. . .

For centuries, Uché seers foretold the birth of a deliverer called Mkombozi – one fated to enter The Revelation Gate and lead them to freedom.

Knowing this, the king of the barbarous Otī does his best to eliminate the lone threat to his dominion. When his best efforts fail, he allies himself with a self-proclaimed emperor who reveals the true natures of The Revelation Gate and the Uché hero.

Meanwhile, as Mkombozi’s mother wavers between feelings of abandonment and crises of faith, her people ready themselves to wage an unwinnable war – minus faith in their deliverer, whose fate ushers him to an uncertain destination.

Merging elements of political intrigue and social class relations together in an allegorical, character-driven plot, The Revelation Gate confronts issues of doubt, star-crossed love, and the power of the individual.
